FAQs About IEIN Numbers

An IEIN Number is an Illinois Educator Identification Number assigned to educators by ISBE.

IF you have an ELIS account, Click to Login to ISBE ELIS.

  • To Create an account - read directions carefully.
  • You will need your Social Security Number, address, phone number, and e-mail.
  • Set Up an ELIS account with the ISBE.
  • Write down your login name and password to remember it.
  • Once you create an account you will be assigned an Illinois Educator Identification Number (IEIN).
  • Login to ELIS

  • Your attendance at ROE workshops will use an ROE ID number IF your position does not issue a state IEIN number.

    About the Event Educator Database
    The Event Educator Database contains the registration, rosters, and attendance information for events and workshops presented by the St. Clair County Regional Office of Education. The IEIN and Event ID number are required infomation to submit to retrieve your certificate.
